HUMANITARIAN CRISIS RESPONCE ON POLISH-UKRAINIAN BORDER.
Women are most affected by the war in Ukraine. They are the ones who, despite the trauma associated with the war, have to flee the country alone, with their children, often pregnant. They are exposed to various insecurities such as human trafficking, and financial abuse related to the cost of travel and assistance in reaching their destination. despite these difficulties, they must find enough strength to watch over their children and find themselves alone in the new reality. Men cannot leave the country because of the possibility of conscription, so another aspect is the separation from their loved ones whom they may never see again, as many of them go to fight at the front. Many wives become widows. Many of them also experience sexual abuse.
This is just the tip of the iceberg they will face for years to come.
